Inspiring the pursuit of entrepreneurship.

At Nex Cubed, we’re committed to locking arms with entrepreneurs and organizations that share our belief that having a diversity of ideas and perspectives is both the right thing to do and good for business. In fact, nearly 60% of the Nex Cubed portfolio is led by female or minority founders.

Through partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Nex Cubed is engaging rising students and recent alumni across all HBCUs interested in developing business concepts within Digital Health, FinTech, PropTech, and EdTech.

Social determinants such as Real Estate, Education, Financial Services, and Digital Health are in desperate need of systemic reform that technology can help enable.

About the program.

Nex Cubed is currently seeking students and recent alumni from HBCUs across the U.S. who are interested in pursuing entrepreneurship to join us for our HBCU Founder’s Program.

To date, Nex Cubed has had over 350 students and alumni from over 50 HBCUs enroll in the program and participate in industry webinars and virtual ideation sessions led by corporate executives, successful entrepreneurs, and top-tier investors across FinTech, EdTech, Digital Health, and PropTech – key social determinants in desperate need of systemic reform that technology can help enable. Following the workshops and panels, students were invited to pitch their business concepts during ideation sessions in early 2021.

In a recent announcement, Nex Cubed debuted the nine startups and their founders who were selected to participate in the inaugural HBCU Founder’s Summer Acceleration Program taking place virtually this summer. The founders invited to the Summer Acceleration Program received $10,000 in non-dilutive capital, technical resources to develop an MVP, physical working space in Silicon Valley, a business advisor, and over $1M worth of service provider perks and discounts to help propel their companies. To meet the 2020-2021 founders and learn more about their companies, visit the Nex Cubed Meet the Founders page.

At the culmination of the HBCU Founder’s Summer Acceleration Program, students will pitch their business ideas to a panel of investors. The winners selected will be invited to participate in the Nex Cubed 4-month acceleration program which includes an initial capital investment in their startup and dedicated advisory support.
