John Vigouroux, Executive Chairman
John Vigouroux is Executive Chairman at Nex Cubed. John is a six-time CEO who has successfully piloted and exited both private and public technology companies. John comes to us with many years of experience building and scaling companies. Most recently, he was President and Managing Partner at Frost Data Capital where he helped successfully develop the Create Model and launched (23+) companies with a unique model of Fortune 500 strategic support.
Kip Quackenbush, Co-Founder, President & COO
Kip Quackenbush is Co-Founder, President, and COO of Nex Cubed and brings a broad range of enterprise software experience to the company. With over 25 years of experience in driving strategy and revenue for public and private companies in leading edge technologies and services sectors, Kip brings operational, sales mastery and entrepreneurial spark to Nex Cubed. Before joining Nex Cubed, Kip was President and CEO at Sendio, Inc. Kip was also EVP of Global Sales at Profitline which was acquired by Tangoe. Prior to ProfitLine, Kip was VP of Worldwide Sales at email security leader Red Condor. Before that, Kip was VP of Worldwide Sales at Akonix, where he grew the customer base from under 200 to over 2,000, which lead to a successful acquisition by Quest Software. Kip also held the role of Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Commerce One, the pioneer in e-procurement and e-marketplaces. Kip began his career at tech leaders such as Oracle, Digital Equipment Corporation and Pacific Bell and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.
Kelsey Morgan, Co-Founder & General Partner
Kelsey Morgan is Co-Founder and General Partner at Nex Cubed. Previously, she was a Managing Director at NextGen Venture Partners, an early-stage VC firm with offices across the country. While at NextGen, she launched the NYC office, spearheaded the first fund, led investments from NYC and the Bay Area, served on the investment committee, and built a coalition of 100+ technologists and investors who act as venture partners. Kelsey was also a Director at Techstars where she sourced and diligenced over 40 seed stage investments for the fund and launched three accelerator programs in conjunction with Disney (digital media and entertainment), R/GA (IoT), and Kaplan (edtech).
A graduate of Harvard Business School, Kelsey has an extensive background in private equity and M&A, including experience with The Carlyle Group, 3i Group, and Credit Suisse. Over the course of her career, she has completed transactions totaling more than $20 billion. She is a frequent guest lecturer, board member of Harvard in Tech, and advisor to multiple early-stage startups.
Tom Giles, General Manager of Healthcare and IoT
Tom Giles is the General Manager of Healthcare and IoT for Nex Cubed. Tom is a highly accomplished executive professional with proven leadership in designing and deploying business strategies that drive bottom-line profits for technology organizations. Tom is proficient in establishing and launching new global marketing and sales initiatives.
During his time at IBM Watson, Tom was one of the original team members responsible for generating all of the company’s medical content. Among many successes, Tom was a key member of the group that pioneered Anthem’s Go-to-Market with Watson, with the very first Watson-enabled application to manage medical authorizations. Working closely with the GM of Watson, Manoj Saxena, CTO, Rob High, and VP, John Gordon, Tom was an instrumental part of launching one of the most successful startups in IBM’s history.
Maggey Felix, Sr. Director of Marketing
Maggey Felix is the Sr. Director of Marketing for Nex Cubed. In her role as Sr. Director of Marketing, Maggey manages the Nex Cubed brand identity and serves as the lead strategist for Marketing campaigns, digital content, and all owned media content strategy and development. In 2015, Maggey founded MaFe, LLC to provide Marketing and Operations to cybersecurity and emerging technology companies. Maggey has held multiple Marketing Director positions and specializes in Marketing Planning and Strategy, Marketing Systems, Email Marketing, Lead Generation and Lead Nurturing, Digital and Social Media Marketing, Event Planning and Corporate Identity Management. Maggey received a Political Science degree from Texas A&M University.
Kirin Quackenbush, Program Director
As Nex Cubed Program Director, Kirin’s overall responsibility is to provide administrative and operational support for Nex Cubed programs. Kirin provides project management support, event logistics, and startup, investor, sponsor, and mentor relationship support. With an extensive background in Information Technology recruitment, Kirin leads the Nex Cubed recruiting efforts. Kirin received a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Chico before starting her career in Information Technology.
Gil Birnboim, Program Manager
As Nex Cubed Program Manager, Gil manages the Nex Cubed San Francisco office and is the primary point of contact for startups, investors, mentors, and visitors who want to learn more about Nex Cubed. Gil is responsible for cultivating Nex Cubed’s startup investment pipeline and partner relations, event coordination, and assists with Marketing and Branding efforts. Previously, Gil worked as an Innovation and Partnerships Lead for Comcast Innovation Lab where she was responsible for identifying and evaluating potential tech partnerships across all of the company’s products and business lines. She produced company events and worked cross-functionally with startups and technical teams, acting as engagement liaison between them and the Comcast group. Prior to Comcast Innovation Labs, Gil was a Client Partner at Morillas, a global branding agency, where she specialized in research, brand strategy, design, and innovation.
